Hi Fara, first heard your voice in a trailer, somewhere in Spearfish in the Black Hills. Your mother had taken me to visit her friends, and they played your music for me...Very impressive you have a beautiful voice
Met Maryanne at Bear Butte, what a wonderful person she is, have tried to contact her in Vancouver over the years but to no avail. Please pass on that I send my regards to her and the family. Brian, Australia

Beautiful voice! I enjoy the songs that engage a sense of poignancy in them... I first heard your music when I walked into a small shop where I get my supplies for beading, etc. and your cd Pretty Brown was playing. I asked about it and bought it on the spot then lost it a year later.. I've been looking for a replacement online and found this! I'm so honoured to read all about you and to see that you truly are a "regular native girl" with a good heart. :) God Bless from Denise in South Dakota! A dedicated and grateful fan.. I love your awesome voice and music.

I was just spending some of my sleepless night checking up on family and decided to take a look at the Juno Awards site...
Yeah Fara! I am so happy that I see your name right in the top category, with a stunning picture I might add. If looks alone were to win the award you would nail it, too for all them other guy's and gal that you have a killer voice as well.

February 8, 2008
I was just on the web-site for the 2008 Juno's to check out the lay of juno's page.
When I seen the contest from Doritos to pick your favourite performer to win ticket to the Juno awards. As if I have to tell you who I would Vote for My Pick to Win a Juno Award -Fara of course. But guess what all you People in Electric Land of Web. I could not Vote for our girl Fara because her name was no were on the list of choices in the Doritos Contest. So what is up with that. I did contact them thru the links provided but no answer back yet.
So if any of you feel the need to support our girl Fara please write and ask or demand to know the why of their choice not to have Fara's name on the List of vote choices.
Just another social hill for independent first Nation performers to climb, makes you wonder how long this type of thing has been going on and the real why of it.
No chance for the small guys and gals to get the recognition they work so hard to get and make things better for them self and the life we all should have a chance to live in this country we call Canada.

Hi Fara
Was just sitting in the dentist chair and got to thinking about a few things.
Mainly your music and what you stand for and stand against. I'm Very Proud of you young lady and all the people you hang with. So much so that you give me hope ever day and in more ways then I can ever count.
But more to the point before I have to do for my little ducks I live and breath for.(you know who the four of them are so no names)
Back to my main point
I think you do or maybe you don't but in any case here goes.
How long would it take you to set up and start off on a Tour.
And just for the heck of it what do you think of a Tour named
The Red Road Diva's Tour
I think you know enough first nations women to do this. As well as a few first nations women with whom you have wanted to sing with and be a part of the many causes that face first nations people.
There are so many social contentions that faces us in the coming years that this would be a good to perfect time to put a to group of female first nations voices ahead of what is to come for all of us.
Just a thought for you to ponder over and if it goes then I will help you in anyway This old Duck can.
Maybe I shouldn't leave out the first nations men who can perform in our country as well
Name change
Perhaps The Red Road Diva's and Dudes Tour 2008.
PS.Just lost another copy of your newest CD. Looks like this CD is going to be stolen or borrowed forever from me as much as all the Pretty Brown CD's I had bought in the past for my listenning pleasure. Yahoo for you, costly for me but if it gets your music out there for the world to hear and enjoy then my cost be damned.
Cause in my little ways I'm there for you and yours
sincerely forever

Hello our baby girl Took a while but I found out how to write you on your-site Very Cool, Very Cool.Love the pics of the girls I might even have to dig in my photos to see what I can find to add to your page for the world to see you don't have baby walrus. Love your new album, to bad it was stolen or borrowed to the point it will never be returned so I guess I'll have to order another one or two.
So how many baby sitting jobs will I have to pull off to make up for three CD's.
Just jokes I'll send you some cash really soon so hold a few CD's for me.

Fara, you asked me to tell you my favorite song from the Phoenix CD. There are too many good songs in too many fine styles! "Inside of Me" is one the best womens songs ever. "Where Can My Man Be?" is a wonderful blues song. The first three songs are good for dancing. "My Brother" is one of the best tributes songs ever! So I have no favorites because I love them all.

Thanks for the beautiful music. My oldest brother talked about the song you sang about your mother in boarding school. Most of us in our family are boarding school survivors.
I take it you did not get my birthday card and present. I sent them backstage right before the show Saturday night with one of the ushers. Maybe it got lost.. It was in a small white box with a card attached to it.
Love the pictures and will be sharing them with my family and friends.

I have a poem.
On my sandwich
I place so tenderly
a vlasic pickle which
Is so crispy and juicy.
Bread, cheese, and meat
I think it tastes really neat
Mayonaise and mustard
I cant wait til its a turd!
Now i need to quench my thirst
Now i need a drink i think
But i must finish my sandwhich first
Dont be a dink, get me a goddamned drink
Choking on a hunk of bread
Moment later i lay dead
Sandwhich clutched in my hand
Vlasic pickles cheer througout the land
For i will eat no more
My still body layin on the floor
It is the end of my glutinous life
Finally im away from my big fat wife!
by Jeff and Kelsey! teamwork.
