ok this is strange... but i found this website after searching for Beagle-Feist (type of dog) and it led to a pic of some guy WITH feist... and i stuck around and checked out all the pages and listened to all the music! haha!

i love discovering music quite randomly like that...

very strange how first 2 albums were 98 and 2000 and then next not until 2007! ... with a 4th that ws to be on the way in summer 09 but here we are on the cusp of 2012!! ... def. have it come out as soon as humanely possible!

i loved some of the strange production choices on the last album...

anywho... here's to finding awesome music by utter accident! the internet is a great strange beast! hehe!

Hi, Fara,

Here's from Rio de Janeiro, I was searching some news about Shane Yellowbird, and I found the site www.musicfarapalmer.com. I love Native American traditional music, and music made by guys from First Nations, whatever kind of , I'm ecletic to music, good music, though I being not a big connoisseur. I love Robert Mirabal, Walela, Derek Miller, Susan Aglukark, Jana Mashonee, Annie Humphrey, Robby Romero, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Sharon Burch, Mato Nanji, etc, etc,

I think it's fine you let people make downloads of your work, so, if we want to buy a cd, what's the way to?

Something make me curious, the song 'Walk Away' has a beat similar to the brazilian rythym, a little bit, but yes, and I liked it very much.
Did you have some knowledge about brazilian pop music?

Thank you for your time,
I wish you sucess and prosperity.

I am recently exploring First Peoples or Canadian Aboriginal music and singers, and now, just found you. I don't understand why in the states we just don't have access to great Canadian artists...Like Sylvia Tyson, Susan Aglukark, and Fara Palmer. Thanks for you site and your music.

Hi my sweetheart,
I wish I could have told you a happy birthday two days early, but instead, it came two days late. I am so sorry, but my phone and my internet was down for at least 3 days and it was only fixed today! Though late, I wish you a happy birthday with lots of love and wishes of happiness. You are always in my heart and as the years go by the memories grow stronger. I hope your little stars bring you much joy, and I would love it if they inherited your talent so that they will become big stars that will shine on the stage. I hope you had a wonderfully happy birthday, and may you grow more joyful each day onward.
I love you like always, with all my heart. Big kisses and hugs from me,
Maria

Beautiful voice! I enjoy the songs that engage a sense of poignancy in them... I first heard your music when I walked into a small shop where I get my supplies for beading, etc. and your cd Pretty Brown was playing. I asked about it and bought it on the spot then lost it a year later.. I've been looking for a replacement online and found this! I'm so honoured to read all about you and to see that you truly are a "regular native girl" with a good heart. :) God Bless from Denise in South Dakota! A dedicated and grateful fan.. I love your awesome voice and music.

I was just spending some of my sleepless night checking up on family and decided to take a look at the Juno Awards site...

Yeah Fara! I am so happy that I see your name right in the top category, with a stunning picture I might add. If looks alone were to win the award you would nail it, too for all them other guy's and gal that you have a killer voice as well.

February 8, 2008

I was just on the web-site for the 2008 Juno's to check out the lay of juno's page.
When I seen the contest from Doritos to pick your favourite performer to win ticket to the Juno awards. As if I have to tell you who I would Vote for My Pick to Win a Juno Award -Fara of course. But guess what all you People in Electric Land of Web. I could not Vote for our girl Fara because her name was no were on the list of choices in the Doritos Contest. So what is up with that. I did contact them thru the links provided but no answer back yet.
So if any of you feel the need to support our girl Fara please write and ask or demand to know the why of their choice not to have Fara's name on the List of vote choices.
Just another social hill for independent first Nation performers to climb, makes you wonder how long this type of thing has been going on and the real why of it.
No chance for the small guys and gals to get the recognition they work so hard to get and make things better for them self and the life we all should have a chance to live in this country we call Canada.

Hi Fara
Was just sitting in the dentist chair and got to thinking about a few things.
Mainly your music and what you stand for and stand against. I'm Very Proud of you young lady and all the people you hang with. So much so that you give me hope ever day and in more ways then I can ever count.
But more to the point before I have to do for my little ducks I live and breath for.(you know who the four of them are so no names)
Back to my main point
I think you do or maybe you don't but in any case here goes.
How long would it take you to set up and start off on a Tour.
And just for the heck of it what do you think of a Tour named
The Red Road Diva's Tour
I think you know enough first nations women to do this. As well as a few first nations women with whom you have wanted to sing with and be a part of the many causes that face first nations people.
There are so many social contentions that faces us in the coming years that this would be a good to perfect time to put a to group of female first nations voices ahead of what is to come for all of us.
Just a thought for you to ponder over and if it goes then I will help you in anyway This old Duck can.

Maybe I shouldn't leave out the first nations men who can perform in our country as well
Name change
Perhaps The Red Road Diva's and Dudes Tour 2008.
PS.Just lost another copy of your newest CD. Looks like this CD is going to be stolen or borrowed forever from me as much as all the Pretty Brown CD's I had bought in the past for my listenning pleasure. Yahoo for you, costly for me but if it gets your music out there for the world to hear and enjoy then my cost be damned.
Cause in my little ways I'm there for you and yours
sincerely forever
